The Preheater ST-7800 is a small, but powerful preheating heater solution for precision electronics repair/rework applications. The advanced aluminium heating plate provides even heat around the plate making it suitable for working with delicate circuit boards without the risk of thermal damage or warping. With a powerful 800W heating system, the ST-7800 delivers fast temperature ramp-up and stable performance throughout the operation. It features a self-controlled PID temperature control system that is able to monitor and adjust the heat continuously to achieve high accuracy and consistency. This sort of control is needed for fragile packages like BGA, QFN and SMD packages.

The unit has a convenient digital readout for setting and checking temperature. It also can accommodate an external K-type thermocouple for real-time temperature measurement of the actual PCB for more precise rework operations.
