TE Needles (Teflon-Coated Dispensing Needles) are high performance tools, which are applied in the production of industrial and electronic devices, to obtain the right and consistent flow of fluids. These needles have a body made of hard stainless steel and covered by a non-sticky PTFE (Teflon) that ensures a minimum of adhesion to fluids during use and a minimum amount of clogging on the needles. They are especially suitable for dispensing medium- to high-viscosity products, such as adhesives, sealants, solder paste and epoxies, which are more controllable in their flow. The chemically resistant layer has been known to be compatible with a wide range of materials in addition to being easier to clean, and the longevity of the needle is increased. Their smooth interior allows the flow of fluids to be homogenous, eliminating any air bubbles and giving uniform and predictable dispensing. TE needles are often employed in SMT assembly, PCB assembly and high-precision bonding operations and is stable even in high-speed and high-volume production; hence, they are an inseparable part of the existing dispensing systems.
